We woke up to SNOW today. Real live snow. The news reports say that my little town got 7 inches. I don't think we had nearly that at our house, but it was more than I would like to see a few days before Halloween.
I'm so sad that the leaves just barely started to turn, only to be blown off, rained on and snowed on. I feel like we hardly got to enjoy fall.
My little fella's didn't seem to mind at all. The big boy pulled out his snow pants from 2 winters ago... um, a little snug, but he swears they fit just fine! :)
It's just not right! Icy pumpkins?? Ugh!
Tonight we are expecting a low of 29 degrees. For real. I'm not even kidding you.So, I'm taking suggestions.
Where should I relocate so I don't have to live in an icebox for 6 months out of the year?
Seriously, I'm so not even joking.
Trade? I miss the snow. You wanna live in Phoenix?

here in Alabama it's been in the 80's! However, this week we're expecting a "cool down" and supposedly will go to a low of around 49 on Sunday morning. The snow is pretty but I don't think I'd want it this early...something I don't have to worry about, we hardly ever get any snow around here!

We currently live in the Panhandle so we still get the cool temps in the Winter and the leaves fall off the tree's etc... So far it's been in the 80's all week. It will get into the 30-40's in the Winter and start warming up in March. The only downside? It gets insanely HOT in the Summer. Miserably hot... :(
It looks so beautiful; it makes me jealous! I used to live in Colorado and I miss the snow! Enjoy and say warm!

ReplyDeleteThe sight of snow makes me want to cry just a little...I'm not a fan. I live in Ohio and we get all of the seasons which is kind of nice. This has been a strange year for weather.

ReplyDeleteLisa, we're in Utah... blazing hot in the summer, freezing cold and snowy in the winter. spring and fall are short and I always feel ripped off! :)

ReplyDeleteMindy, I'm with you. I read your post and felt like I could have written it! I'm so not a winter fan. If it would come and go for 3 months, I'd welcome it, but it's the thought of how long it will last that makes me sick to my stomach. When you find the perfect place to live, please let me know.

I live close to Savannah, Georgia. It's been humid and hot all week. This morning I woke up and it was 50. You never know around here! It usually doesnt get too cold!
ReplyDeleteYou would LOVE Boise! We have perfect weather! We're technically in the pacific northwest, so everything just a little bit milder. We've had gorgeous fall leaves for two months and nice breezy temps in the 60s. And it's still going! I've never had such a long and pleasant fall in my life. We haven't hit freezing temps yet and I haven't turned my heater on. Plus, we still get lots of precip, so plenty of rain and snow (when it gets to snow in December-ish). I highly recommend Boise to you. You should definitely move... and then you can come take my fam's pics again! :D
